We milk 680 to 750 cows through a 70 bail rotary with cup removers in-shed feed, flood-wash, pro trac and allflex collars.
We are a split calving herd calving down 80 cows to autumn and milk 150-200 cows through winter the rest calve down in spring.
The milking platform is 255ha effective flat to rolling country. attached to the farm is another 250 ha that is used for young stock, winter grazing and supplement for the dairy platform. We now do our own cultivation and drilling of paddocks. Crops used are turnips and Rape for summer.
Staffing
We run three full time staff plus my self and my father as a part timer for R & M when required.
