Coastal Taranaki, Warea. Unfortunately, one of our amazing workers is going to head back up North to be closer to family after 3 seasons with us.  So we are looking for an Experienced senior Farm Assistant, with a minimum 3 full seasons of employment. We have 700 friesian cows, 60 bale rotary shed with ACRs, inshed feed, auto teat spray. There is also an option for work for a partner. (This can be discussed at interview). The 300ha farm is a 7 min drive to Okato, where there is a primary/secondary school, childcare, cafes, church and four square. We are a 30 min drive from New Plymouth. Super close to many beaches along SH45. There is a lovely 3 bedroom family home available. With a school bus going right past the gate. You must be a team player - we need someone happy to be working with others, you will be part of a team. Applicants must have 2 years New Zealand farming experience. We are after an experienced (3 years or more) person to help run our dairy farm in all daily jobs. The successful applicant will need to be able to do all farm tasks as well as being able to run the farm solo every second weekend outside of calving and mating. The Farm is still going through some development so there will be plenty of work in terms of Fencing, Water lines and Tractor work. The farm does a lot of its own contracting work meaning there are plenty of opportunities to do a variety of work.  Milking times on farm are 5am and 2.30pm with Batt latches used so the cows are waiting at the cowshed in the mornings, a milking takes between 1.5-2.5 hours with 30 minutes of hosing down. Training can be provided if the applicant wants it.
