We are on the hunt for another team member for the upcoming 25/26 season. We're looking for a motivated and reliable herd manager or 2IC to join our progressive 640 cow system 4 dairy operation just 15min from Invercargill. About the role: You'll pay a key part in the day-to-day management of the herd and support the sharemilkers in running a high performing dairy farm. The role is ideal for someone with strong practical skills, a passion for cows and pasture and a desire to grow within the industry. We have a very modern farm, with wintering barns, halter collars and a range of other technology to help us perform at our best. Key responsibilities: Daily milking and animal health management. Identifying and treating lame or sick cows. Supporting feed budgeting and pasture allocation. Assisting with mating support. Accurate record keeping and compliance tasks.
