We are looking for a Herd Manager in Te Puninga, Morrinsville. 480 cows herd. Must have at least 2 years experience. Must also have good animal welfare and machine operation skills.
Applicants need to be passionate, energetic, punctual and enjoy farming. They also need to be a team player.
Duties include milking, stock handling and feeding, calving, calf rearing, feeding calves, fencing, weed control, maintaining shed hygiene, maintaining animal health, maintenance and preparation of farm shed and machinery and other general farm duties. Needs to follow health and safety procedures. Applicants need to know pasture management as they will be responsible for one herd of cows.
