We have a vacancy for an experienced, reliable 2IC to work alongside Contract Milker. We are situated 30 minutes south of Rotorua on a flat to gentle rolling contour farm. We milk 460 Kiwi cross cows through a 30 ASHB shed with meal feeders. From calving until Christmas, we milk twice daily, and then once a day for the remainder of the season. Hi there!!! We need some extra help on our dairy farm for a few months to finish jobs while weather is good. Maybe you are between jobs or just looking for some more hours? We have lots of fencing to do and also helping drive a tractor and trailer to cart materials. Assistance with the odd milking (OAD morning only) would be helpful but not neccessarily a show stopper. Must have had some experience fencing. We dont operate a post rammer but have an auger drill. Must be able to tie wire, assemble a two wire electric fence and associated parts, hand ram a post. Must be confident driving a tractor with a trailer and on variety of terrain. Accommodation on or off farm is open for discussion. Hourly rate.
