  Farm Manager We offer a great opportunity for a progressive Farm Manager to join the Mt Somers Station team ( www.mtsomersstation.co.nz ). If you have a positive history in staff management; accuracy and confidence in maximising pasture harvest; proven results in reproductive management; and financial awareness with a vision for the future in the industry, then this could be the opportunity for you. The farm milks 915 cows at peak, producing 400-420kgMS/ cow. There is the expectation that milk production will achieve over 377,000kgMS. The farm is a forward thinking farm that invests in technology to enable a smooth and productive workplace. 80% of calves are reared, then are then carried through by the livestock farm. Current project is to build two more sheds to enable the use of Automatic calf feeding systems at the beginning of this coming season.
