K&T Pastoral LTD is excited to offer the rare opportunity of a 2IC role within our team where our current 2ic is leaving us to progress further in the industry.
K&T Pastoral LTD who currently LOSM on Mt Hutt Dairies located under Mt Hutt, along the inland scenic route in the Rakaia Gorge which offers us some rolling hills and good soils. We are a dryland dairy farm over a 320ha effective platform. Current peak milk is 870-900 mixed age Fresian X cows producing average of 470ms/cow through a 60 bail rotary with in shed feeding and Waikato cup removers. The shed runs a Waikato automated smart wash programme for both plant and silo washes. Young stock is grazed off farm at 4months old through to 2yo returning in May following year with animal health and weighing done by us monthly when needed.
