CALF REARERS (x2)  – DRIVE IN POSITIONS   Grasslands are going into their third season in the Waikato and have dairy farms in Tokoroa approximately 20 minutes from the Tokoroa township. The farms average 1000 cows and we have two calf rearing positions on these farms for approximately 8 weeks for experienced calf rearers.  This would be from mid-July to approximately the end of September. The farms have excellent calf rearing facilities and are well equipped for the numbers of calves that are reared in them. We are looking for 2 experienced and motivated calf rearers with patience and an understanding and respect for animal welfare which is of paramount importance to the Grasslands organization. Grasslands are now going into their 3rd season in the Waikato , and we have a fantastic opportunity for a Farm Assistant to join our team.  The farm is 330 effective hectares of predominately flat to rolling contour, with a few steeper sidling’s, milking 1000 cross bred, spring calving cows through an 80-bail modern rotary cowshed.  The model is pastured based, the shed has in shed feeding facilities and the farm is equipped with all modern machinery required to run the property effectively. The farm is situated 20 mins drive from the township of Tokoroa which offers a wide range of facilities and shopping options together with several schooling options.  Rotorua, Tauranga and Taupo are all within an hour’s drive of the farm. We have an exciting opportunity for the right individual or couple to join us on our new adventure from the 1st of June on an 1100 cow property located in Kinleith, central to Taupo, Rotorua and Hamilton.  working within a team of 5 (Including cm) you will be responsible for ensuring the farm policies are kept in place, running the rest of the team and managing the day to day operations of the farm in conjunction with the CM.  as we are taking over this farm at the beginning of the season, we are looking for somebody who has a good sense of humour, willingness to learn and get stuck into what is a great opportunity for everybody involved.
