We are seeking a motivated, progressive farm manager for our 530 cow farm at Inangahua, 26kms north of Reefton. The farm has a Cow Barn for wintering cows as well as holding and feeding cows off pasture in periods of wet weather. The cows are milked in a 44 aside herringbone shed with ACRs, in shed meal feeding and a Protrac drafter. The successful applicant must have good grass management skills, understand the feed requirements of the cows, be quiet with stock, have good communication skills and the ability to manage staff. Excellent reporting and planning skills along with the use of technology is required.  The position would suit a person wishing to progress in the dairy industry as this position could become a Contract Milking position in the future. Part time or full time work would be available for a partner if desired. The applicant must be drug free and willing to undergo random drugs tests. They must be eligible to work in New Zealand
