We are seeking a farm assistant mid July start to join our team, we milk 500 cows through a modern 50 bale rotary. Job involves mainly milking, feeding cows, farm maintenance and some tractor work. Roster is 11 on 3 off all year round.  Salary negotiable. No accomodation available. Located 10 minutes from Balclutha.

We consider calm stock handling and a focus on animal health and welfare as key skills for our staff. We encouraging of those who are wanting to move up in the industry. Some of key staff have been with us a long time (10+ years) and we are proud of how they have moved up in the business from assistant herd managers to 2IC. We are supportive of staff undergoing further training and developing their own interest within the industry.  Our farm is a 900 cow dairy, milking through a 52ashb with ACRs. The farm is primarily pasture based, with irrigation to commence this coming season.
