We are on the search for an experienced farm assistant to join our team for the 2025/26 season.  You will be working in a team of 3 to carry out the day-to-day duties associated with the farm. These duties include but not limited to: Milking - good shed hygiene and following procedures is essential Cleaning the cowshed -plant and vat wash, hosing down, cleaning rails and maintaining overall cleanliness Tractor work- Feeding out supplements, cleaning sand-traps, mowing etc Spraying weeds -Mostly bike sprayer but grubber or knapsack used for some undrivable areas. Race edges- sprayed regularly Break fencing Effluent management - shifting the gun irrigator and turning irrigator on Animal health - Routine animal health treatments, dusting, identifying sick or lame cows General farm maintenance - Fencing, greasing machinery etc We try to vary the daily duties between team members so there is an opportunity to learn new skills and keep work interesting. The Relief Milker is responsible for helping in milking in the morning and evening  safely and hygienically, and keeping the milking environment clean or helping to get the cows for milking and better if able to do tractor works.
