My name is David Lepper and I am 29 years old. I am looking for a new job that will provide me with the opportunity to gain more skills and knowledge for my passion in the dairy farming industry and allow me to progress further within the industry. I am currently living in the Waikato Region however I am looking for an opportunity to move home to the Hawkes Bay region to settle down closer to family.
I have 12 years of fulltime experience working on dairy farms in positions ranging from farm assistant to 2IC. I have worked in herringbone sheds, as well as external and internal rotary sheds. I am confident on all terrain with tractors, 2-wheelers, 4-wheelers, and feeding out. I have experience in the day to day running of dairy farms sole charge, as well as the ability to lead or work within a team. I am experienced in milking and consider one of my strengths to be identifying and treating sick and lame cows. I am very passionate about working with young stock as well.
I consider myself to be hardworking and take great pride in my work ethic. I am punctual and I turn up to work with a positive attitude and a good sense of humour.
I am married and together with my wife have a 6-year-old, 3.5-year-old and 1.5-year-old. We also have a quiet outdoor family dog, and 2 housetrained cats. We are extremely house-proud people who keep a clean and tidy home at all times. When I'm not at work I enjoy spending my free time outdoors. My hobbies include playing rugby, gardening, fishing, hunting, diving, and camping. I am looking for a position on a farm that is family-orientated as I enjoy spending time with my family.
