As Contract Milker, I have been responsible for all day-to-day operations of the farm, Longreach. I have consistently reached production targets and have been apart of the operation since the 2020/21 season. 

Day-to-day operations include:

• Pasture management - excellent pasture management skills
• Animal husbandry- Implementing the employer’s management plan by completing all tasks required for day to day herd and farm management.
• Completion of all milkings, herd feeding and day-to-day dairy shed management
  Ensure milking cows are always in acceptable and healthy state
• Promote herd health and prevent health problems by administering remedies as required and taking necessary precautions
• Ensure that limited if any milk grades occur throughout the season - was certified Grade Free for the 2023/24 season
• To organize and oversee the staff roster system and ensure that it works effectively and fairly, and make changes where appropriate
