Quintag Holdings is looking for an aspiring 2IC to support the Farm Manager in leading their farming operation and will be responsible for supporting managerial activities and driving operational performance within their Team. Quintag Holdings is located 8km East of Ashburton, South Island. With 320ha; Quintag is milking 1180 spring calving Kiwi Cross cows via a 50-bail rotary with in shed feeding, ACRS and in bail teat spray; cows are fitted with allflex collars. This role would suit a previous herd manager with at least 12 months farming experience who aspires to progress into this 2IC role. Key Accountabilities include: • Production - Milking/Feed and stock management • Maintenance & Asset Management Protection - fencing/race/plant and machinery maintenance • Reporting - liaising with farm managers around work priorities • Health & Safety - reporting and maintaining. • Staff Management - day to day supervision of staff, train and coach staff and foster supportive team environment • Farm Administration - accurate reporting on time sheets • Financial Management - monitoring performance against budgets Quintag is a beautiful farm with a great, well-established supportive Team.
