Main calf rearer for a well set up calf house. This is a full time position not seasonal. We have four dairy sheds where all calves are reared in one calf house. 1500 cows to calve in the Autumn rear 400 of them 1000 in the spring rear 250 of them We require someone with at least 2 years experience to take charge of the day to day running of our calf house. We have a very good hands on manager that will help you fit into this role. You will be required to look after one other full time rearer and two part time employees. The calf house team look after the calves until about six months of age. The skills you will have Great eye for detail around animal health. Very good communication skills. Be able to ride a quad with calf feeder. Clean and tidy person that believes there is a place for everything and everything in its place. We are looking to hire some people for different dairy firms in various locations of New Zealand.  Duties include milking, cleaning shed and yard, animal health requirement including mastitis, move break fences for cows and shed and plant maintenance and general farm duties.
