We are looking for an experienced assistant manager to work alongside our manager and team to operate our large herd sharemilking business in Ikawai South Canterbury.  The successful candidate needs to have a minimum of 3 years in a larger herd role in New Zealand and be completely confident in running the farm and team in the managers absence. We peak milk 1550 quiet cows through an 80 bail rotary with no bells and whistles, inshed feed and a high standard of milk quality, we are pivot and kline irrigated on 410ha platform. Candy Dairy Ltd We have a 210 ha fully irrigated farm milking 800 cows through a 54 bale Delavel rotary with cup removers and auto drafting. We are a high production farm doing 550 ms per cow. We also run Allflex collars for heat detection and monitoring cow health.   Our farm is flat, well set out with 2 pivots, fixed grind and a little bit of Kline in the corners.
