We are looking for an enthusiastic farm assistant to join our team. You will be working along side a great team. You will be required to assist with all aspects of the day to day operations of the farm. We peak milk 780 cross breed cows in two herds trough a 60 bale rotary with cup removers auto teat spray. You will be assisting six other staff on an intensive high input farm to milk, feed cows and calves, general farm work and weeds. The main role will be driving farm vehicles and farm machinery (tractors/trucks and feed out wagons). We require more than one years work experience with machinery in this field. The herd consists of 1300 Friesian cows in a split calving operation, through a 60 bale rotary with ACR’s and feed-pad system. You will be sharing accommodation. Must have clear police record, be drug tested, must have a full driver’s license and one year driving farm machinery, no dogs (or pets) allowed, must be physically able, and be willing and able to work the required roster (early starts).

We are looking for a part time farm assistant to join our team.  We are running 750 cows on a system five, with a mixer wagon, feed pad and barn.  We are split calving and milk twice a day year round.  The cowshed is a 50 bale rotary with ACRs and automatic teatspray. Tractor experience is necessary.  Solo milking and tractor work are a big part of this role along with general farm maintenance and spraying as required. This position guarantees 20 hours work per week, with more hours potentially available during busy times.  A one bedroom, tidy and warm cottage with car port, is available.  No inside dogs and no dogs on the farm as the cows aren't used to them.  If you have cats be aware that there are several domestic and wild cats on this farm. This position will be on a fixed term contract for a year. The rostered on days will be negotiable.
