Full Time calf rearer required for the 2025 calving season. This is a fixed term contract from 01/8/25 till 30/09/25 We are a large scale dairy operation located in the Central Otago, 10 mins from Wanaka, calving 4500 cows over August  through September . The role is for a 2IC who is honest, reliable and wants to enjoy the flexibility of our farming operation. A sound knowledge of cows, grass and the practical skills required to run and maintain a dairy shed and farm machinery are necessary.   A full driver's license, NZ bank account and a valid work VISA are required.

A 2IC/assistant manager is required 700 for our cow dairy farm just outside of Clinton, South Otago. The successful applicant will work alongside the owner, manager and farm assistant to complete all daily milking, feeding and animal health tasks. Due to our current staff member having a change in family circumstances we have a permanent part-time position available. This role is primarily that of a calf rearer over calving with ongoing work available after calving as a milk harvester or farm assistant. The calf rearing aspect of this position will involve full responsibility of 220 replacement heifers, bobby calves and a handful of dairy/ beef calves. As a result at least one season of calf rearing experience is essential for this role. Outside calving this role involves shifting breaks over winter, being a permanent part of the milking roster, as well as any additional tasks we agree upon.
