We are seeking an experienced full time farm assistant. This is a full time permenant position. Main duties will include milking, stock work, break fences, tractor work, feeding out supplements, effluent application, spraying weeds, fixing fences, and calf rearing. Some shed responsibility will also be required, for example experience with plant washes and/or vat washes. Animal husbandry experience, able to identify and treat sick animals, whether its mastitis, lameness, milk fever cows etc. Ability to identify that , that animal looks unwell. Two years general experience would be great. You will be working alongside with farm owner, 2 x staff and/or independently. Applicant must have NZ work experience. We run a 400 cow herd through a 36ASHB Milking Pedigree Jerseys milking TAD. System 3-4, with silage, crops and PKE/Mix. We are 30mins north of Whangarei Applicants must have NZ residency or right to work in NZ. Please provide two references.

Farm assistant required for our farm in the far north. You are required to assist with the milking of 1100 cows through a 50 bale rotary shed with a feedpad on a 470 hectare farm. We are seeking an experienced Dairy Farm Assistant to help with the day to day running of our 300 cow farm located just 5 minutes from Dargaville. School bus at gate. We seasonally supply milk through a 27 aside HB shed. We run a high-producing grass-based system feeding palm kernel, grass silage, hay and summer crops. Duties include milking and feeding cows, calf rearing, stock work, fencing and general farm maintenance and the making of silage and hay.  You'll be working with me (the farm owner) and one other full-time staff member. Attributes we value are: good stockmanship, honesty, reliability, a genuine and strong desire to progress in the dairy industry, an eye for detail and doing things right the first time. Ideally, you will have 2+ seasons of experience and a current full driver's licence.

We are on the hunt for  a keen honest person who is interested in farming and learning the ropes. Someone who enjoys working with animals and has great animal husbandry a keen eye is a bonus. Able to drive a tractor and a feed out wagon plus help out with the machine matience . Be able to ride 2 and 4 wheel bikes.. We enjoy having a laugh but also can get stuck in and work as a team. The right candidate can identify mastitis and unwell cows,able to feed out in smart shelters can set up a break and are able to problem solve and think for themselves. We are looking for a farm assistant to help out with milking, getting cows in, cleaning the shed and other day to day farm jobs. Shared accommodation living with two Philipino guys. We are seeking an enthusiastic farm assistant who has a passion for dairy farming for a 500 cow spring calving farm located Matakohe. We run a OAD System. Could also be some part time work available for partner. Jobs will include but not limited to, milking and shed wash, tractor driving, fencing, assisting with calf rearing, ability to operate farm machinery safely & correct, also just general farm maintenance.
