We are seeking an experienced Dairy Farm Assistant to help with the day to day running of our 300 cow farm located just 5 minutes from Dargaville. School bus at gate. We seasonally supply milk through a 27 aside HB shed. We run a high-producing grass-based system feeding palm kernel, grass silage, hay and summer crops. Duties include milking and feeding cows, calf rearing, stock work, fencing and general farm maintenance and the making of silage and hay.  You'll be working with me (the farm owner) and one other full-time staff member. The right candidate can identify mastitis and unwell cows,able to feed out in smart shelters can set up a break and are able to problem solve and think for themselves. We are seeking an enthusiastic farm assistant who has a passion for dairy farming for a 500 cow spring calving farm located Matakohe. We run a OAD System. Could also be some part time work available for partner.
