To assist the owner in raising 660 calves including 200 replacements.  Drive in position approx. 5 hours/day starting at 8:30am.  Replacements are tube fed the first feed.

Milking 500 cows through 60 bale rotary with cup removers and Allflex collars and data system Helping with pasture management  including feed budgeting, supplement allocation,  grazing round and pasture quality. Monitoring calving cows and collecting calves and transporting to rearing shed (a calf rearer is employed ) Be involved with all day to day farming and stock work ,ie animal health, feeding out,weed control, repairs and maintenance ,water races and fences.    

We are looking for a Herd manager to join our team on a system 3 farm, milking 970 cows through a 54 bale rotary shed.  We need someone with at least one year experience.  This role will include someone who can understand and take responsibility for daily tasks such as running of the dairy, effluent management and feeding. Work with minimal supervision and supervise and train other staff.
