Located less than 10 minutes to Otorohanga our 220 ha system 1 dairy unit comprises two cowsheds milking 550 cows - 280 cows - 36ashb & 270 cows - 30ashb, plus an adjoining run-off. We are seeking an experienced Farm Assistant to join our dedicated team. Our ideal Farm Assistant will have an obvious passion for the industry and be keen to learn & progress in it, have excellent animal health & husbandry and all general on farm skills. Great communication & a 'can do' attitude are a must. Tractor experience, especially on rolling to hilly land, would be an advantage for the position. An exciting and varied position as Assistant Manager on our 900 cow dairy farm has become available. Kopua farm is a 280 ha dairy unit, with a 50 aside HB located half way between Otorohanga and Pirongia. With a well-rostered milk rotation, we utilise a varied system of twice-a-day and once-a-day milking regimes throughout the season. We peak milk 600 cows through a 40 aside HB. This is a winter milk farm. The farm is tidy with flat contour.
