Hi.  We are looking for someone for the new season. We are seeking a positive attitude go getter. We are a friendly, fun, young and driven team and want someone to fit in with these attributes. The farm is 7km from Gore milking 340 cows with a variable milking regime all season. This position requires a minimum of 2 years experience, as there are only 2 people the position requires sole charge while the manager is off. Farm Assistant/Herd Manager We are a family owned farm located 10 mins from Gore, rotary cowshed, 900 cows, 2 herds (you only milk one herd not all 900). 6 on 2 off roster. We go to 3 and 2 milkings from Christmas to end of season.  Milking: Assists with efficent and hygienic milking routine Animals: Assists in safe handling of animals, records, reports and treat, any health issue   Feed: Controls weeds. Sets break fences and feeds out as directed.
