The role will be spread across two farms, reporting to the Farm Owner/Sharemilker Farm One - 266HA farm milking 700 through a 54 bail rotary Farm Two - 150HA farm milking 380through a 32 ASHB Both farms have in-shed feeding, ACR's, Protrack drafting and CowManager The role will be a bit of everything:  Key Skills/Responsibilities: Milking shed management and hygiene. Animal health; identifying and treating (e.g. mastitis, lameness, milk fever). Records; assist with animal records including; calving, mating, animal health and treatments. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Heavy Agricultural Machinery Operator with at least 3 years' experience in operating various farm machinery, including loader wagons, mowers, balers, tractors, stack vehicles, and truck and trailer units. Experience with forage harvesters is preferred. Key duties will include, but are not limited to: - Effluent application to paddocks and shifting of applicator round paddocks - Silage and maize harvesting - Hay and baling - Paddock work - Maintaining farm tracks - Working on driveways, house foundations, and general digger work - Maintaining machinery to ensure it's clean and operational - Other general farm duties as required. We are looking for a milk harvester to join our team. The successful applicant must be a team player who is reliable, has a positive attitude , great work ethic and reliable transportation. Experience is preferred but full training will be provided. Applicants must be willing to take a drug test. We are very flexible and are happy to have 1 person for the morning and 1 person for the afternoon or someone who would like to do both- the roster- days on/ off will be worked around the successful applicant. 

Spectrum Group's current farming profile consists of dairy and support operations based in Canterbury, Waikato and King Country.  With a new farm coming into our group in Darfield - Canterbury, we have a new and exciting role available for a drive in, farm support person. Our new superstar will be self motivated, have experience driving tractors, ride on mowers, operating a chainsaw and have general farm maintenance experience.  You must have experience in handling/weighing/break feeding stock. Although you will report to our dry stock Farm Business Manager, you must be a self starter and be able to work unsupervised with the flexibility of potentially also working at our dry stock farm (which is approx. 10 minutes away).  This role would suit someone who is either semi retired or an ex-farmer.
