Corporate farm (Ealing Mid Canterbury)
We are seeking an experienced and mechanically minded Operations Manager to join our Dynamic farm team. You will play a pivotal role in steering our 1,800-cow operation towards greater success, integrating modern farming techniques with traditional values of sustainability and quality, skilled in leadership and clear communication as staff recruitment and development will be a key part of the role. This is a hands on role taking charge of the day to day running of the farm.
In this role you will report to the Contract milker
You will be supported by our long standing unit manager
The cows are milked through two automated rotary cowsheds (60 and 50 bail) Inshed feeding(60bail) cup removers, protrack drafting and cow manager herd monitoring.
Complex irrigation via Laterals, Rotorainers , Trailco gun, Klines and fixed grid
