An opportunity has arisen for a Contract Milker, to operate a 260 cows farm, 150 ha, 100 cows are winter milk, starting date is open, 1 June. producing around 70,000 kgs, position commencing 25/26 season. applicant needs full Drivers license. The farm is located just out of Dargaville northland. Infrastructure includes an 30 aside herringbone shed. Our goal is based on excellent pasture management to maximise production for both parties. This is your usual 'due to unforeseen circumstances' job but unusually the job is genuine! Due to some health issues with the current contract milkers we have decided together it is best we seek another candidate late in the season. The farm is centrally located on the West Coast, a close (15min) to Lake Brunner. It is 40min to Greymouth and 2 hours to Christchurch. The farm is 80ha milking approx. 165 cows twice a day until typically around Christmas where we transition to OAD milking. We winter in farm with Kale, Silage and straw  The farm is well set up with a race down the middle and a paddock to either side. A 22ashb Cowshed, new water system and a very good modern effluent system with Klip tank and Cobra rain gun. The farm produces around 50000ms with some pke feed when needed. The system we are flexible with, but grass is our priority through good pasture management.
