we are looking for an experienced and dedicated person to join our team in the new season as a calf rearer. we are co-operating owned farm located 10 minutes from central Feilding. Milking 950 cows at peak through a 50-bale rotary with cup removers. we run a 2-herd system and put emphasis on animal health and welfare  For you  Applicants must have previous experience in calf rearing Applicants will be looking after appx 150 replacement heifers, 30-50 beef calves until weaning, and Bobby calves which will leave farm at 5 days old. You will be well trained and well supported, with most of the paddock mobs being fed and sorted by other staff members. In need of a calf rearer for the upcoming calving season. Will be rearing replacements and some beef calves.  My wife will be helping and supervising the rearing and I as the manager will also oversee calf rearing in conjunction with my wife. We will be rearing replacement calves and also rearing bull calves. This job is only from 1st week August to last week September (can even extend to 1st week October depending).

Due to our current staff member having a change in family circumstances we have a permanent part-time position available. This role is primarily that of a calf rearer over calving with ongoing work available after calving as a milk harvester or farm assistant. The calf rearing aspect of this position will involve full responsibility of 220 replacement heifers, bobby calves and a handful of dairy/ beef calves.
