KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Milking operations - managing the milking routing to ensure high quality milk and hygiene standards are met includes milking cows shifting.
Animal Health & Welfare - Identifying, Diagnosing, and treating common ailments Mastitis lameness sickness, managing calving, reproduction heat detection and vaccinations too animals.
Feed Management - Planning and implementing feed allocations, managing pasture quality and shifting break fences.
Record Keeping - Maintaining accurate data on animal health, calving and milk production using minda.
Environment & Compliance - Operating effluent system on farm to meet regional council regulations and managing water use.
Staff Supervision - Leading and training junior farm assistants when required.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience - of 2 years of New Zealand Dairy experience.
Skills - Proficiency in operating farm Machinery tractors and bikes current NZ driving licenses and strong communcation skills
Compliance - Candidates must frequently pass drug and criminal background checks
