Farm Assistant

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are looking for a Farm Assistant to join our team and replace a valued employee who has been with us for the past four years.

About the Role

We are seeking someone with at least one full New Zealand dairy season under their belt to join our progressive dairy operation.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a modern technology-driven farm focused on efficiency, animal performance, and continuous improvement. We place a strong emphasis on animal health and welfare, with in-shed feeding systems and technology that help support both cow performance and staff efficiency.

• 550 cows
• system 3
• Production target of over 500kg/ms/cow
• Halter collars
• Modern 54 bail rotary shed with automatic cup removers and in bail teatspray
• Larger feed pad
• New 12 bay calf shed designed for efficiency
• strong focus on animal health and welfar
• In shed feeding

What we're Looking For

The successful applicant will:

• Have at least one full New Zealand dairy season experience
• Have tractor experience
• Take pride in their work and workplace environment
• Work well both independently and as part of a team
• Be open to learning new skills and ideas
• Have a positive attitude and willingness to grow within the role
• Demonstrate good animal husbandry and stockmanship
• Be reliable, motivated, and capable

Applicants must currently be in New Zealand and have the Legal right to work in New Zealand. 

We are a drug and alcohol free operation random testing is done through out the season.
