Key Responsibilities
Assist with feeding of cows and calves, milking cows and monitoring animal health problems, (lame, sick, mastitis). Assisting with the calving and collection of calves. Treating animal health problems as required by management.
Help with the control of pests and weeds, general farm and equipment maintenance.
Maintenance and checking of irrigation systems, reporting faults to management.
Shed maintenance and repairs

Practical skills: Ability to handle livestock safely, operate machinery, and perform farm maintenance tasks.

Observation and reporting: Monitor animal health, pasture conditions, and equipment performance.

Teamwork and communication: Work effectively within a small team, follow instructions, and communicate issues promptly.

Previous experience in dairy or general farming is preferred but not always required; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Knowledge of animal health, pasture management, and farm machinery is advantageous.
