Permanent - Full Time Assistant Manager (2IC) Farm Manager

Job Description

Due to unforeseen circumstances we now have a Farm Manager or 2IC position come available. Situated 10 minutes from Ngatea.

110ha flat contour, system 3 farm, 415 peak crossbred cows milked, 36 aside Herringbone shed with Automatic cup removers. Spring calving.

Start date 28th July 2025 or earlier if able to but negotiable. Salary is negotiable depending on experience. Roster is 8 on 2 off.

We are looking for:

  • An honest, reliable and enthusiastic person
  • Good work ethic
  • Someone who is capable of working independently and within a team
  • Minimum 2 years experience
  • New Zealand residents only to apply (we are NOT accredited employers)

Main duties include:

  • Milking and getting cows in
  • Weed control
  • Maintaining fences/putting up break fences
  • Loading and feeding out grass silage, maize silage and Palm Kernel

The successful applicant will be expected to take part in all duties related to the running of the dairy farm.
