We are looking for a Herd Manager or Farm Assistant to join our team in a family-owned, high-input dairy business located 20 minutes north of Taupo. • 300ha, 900 cows
• Allflex collars for real-time cow monitoring
• Protrack feeding system for precision nutrition management
• Protrack drafting for efficient herd management

Key Responsibilities: (Depending on role level)

• Herd management – monitoring animal health, mating, calving, and milk quality
• Farm operations – assisting with milking, feeding, and general farm maintenance
• Pasture management – assessing feed levels and implementing grazing plans
• Health & Safety compliance – ensuring farm procedures are followed
• Team collaboration – working closely with farm owners and staff to achieve farm goals

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in dairy farming (Herd Manager role requires proven experience)
• Passion for animal welfare and efficient farm management
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude
• Herd Manager applicants should have leadership skills and farm management experience
