Farm assistant

We are currently looking for a Farm Assistant with prior experience and a can do attitude to join our team. This position is integral to the success of our operation where your competence in pasture management, animal health and high standard milk processing will set you apart.

Skills required to apply for this position:

• A minimum of 2 years experience
• Have great communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning new skills and working with other staff
• Be familiar with machinery operation and maintenance
• Have a commitment to and implement best practices for health & safety
• Passion for animal welfare and efficient farm management
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude

Key Responsibilities :

• Milking Cows
• Break Fences and feed allocation
• Irrigation
• Weed Management
• Farm Tidiness/Upkeep
• Calf feeding
• Tractor work - ie. feeding out, rolling 

Necessary requirements : 

• You must have a valid full drivers license
• You must have a clear criminal record
• You must be drug free
• You will be expected to do a pre employment and random drug testing if employed
• No smoking or vaping in houses, farm buildings and vehicles 
• You must live on farm due to the requirements of the job
• No pets allowed
• Time management is important
