We have immediate vacancies for Farm Assistants on a family farm milking 1000 cows through a 50 bail rotary shed with ACR, Protrack, ADF and a feedpad. The farm winter milks and has pivot irrigation. The farm is situation 30 minutes from Palmerston North and 20 minutes from Levin. The successful applicant will have a positive attitude and good fitness levels. You will have; - at least 3 weeks dairy farming training experience or tertiary qualification, be able to ride a two wheel motorbike and drive a tractor - sound knowledge of pasture, feed and animal health, - have an understanding of general farm practices, - be a team-player with a commitment to working safely. A solid work history, clear Police record, and no alcohol/drug abuse issues are essential requirements for the position. Must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
