We require a Farm Assistant to join our team in Rangitata, South Canterbury. The farm is one herd of 600 cows calving 25th July - 1 October. Our young stock R1 and R2 are also carried on the platform through the year. The cowshed is a 44 bale rotary with cup removers. you will be working under a 2ic and farm owners. Duties include but not limited to Milking, animal health and welfare, pasture monitoring, feeding out and tractor work, shifting irrigation, and general repairs and maintenance, Prior experience is essential, must have a willingness to learn and grow in the industry. Roster will be 8on /2off 8on / 3off through milking season with 6on 1 off through first 4-5 weeks of calving. Rest afternoons will be given through the busy time.
