Job Description

Fixed term position , start as soon as possible , working through to at least June 15 ,  reports to and is managed by our owner, Location; RuaRoa, Dannevirke Winter Milking, currently 450 cows, this number will reduce as winter progresses. 10/7 milking pattern.   250 ha milking platform, plus 114 ha dry stock land connected to milking platform 37 ha, support land in central hawkes bay, role includes working on these blocks. 40 bale internal rotary Currently operating a 10 milkings per 7 day variable milking system. Grass policy plus up to 500 kgDM supplement per cow as conserved grass and PKE 250 ha milking platform , 96 ha support land, plus further support land in CHB (37ha) Rotation planner, feed , power and water to cows, are all big deals Expectation of eyes on cows and dry stock on farm. Emphasis on good mating practices. We wish to do AB and natural mating. Owner is required to provide safe, supportive, friendly work environment. initiative and continued education encouraged and supported.
