Duties include but are not limited to:

Staff management including organising daily operation of the farm and delegating.

Training staff, leading the team and being constantly health and safety conscious.

Feed allocation, feeding out, pasture measurement and setting up break fences.

Use technology to improve farming outcomes.

Reporting daily back to the manager.

Competent with machinery, maintenance and reporting repairs needed in a timely fashion. 

Accountability and eagerness to accept and grow from mistakes. We offer a safe environment to be able to come forward with problems or mistakes and use them as an opportunity to learn. 

Detecting and treating health issues such as: Mastitis, lameness, sickness, metabolic issues and acidosis. 

Be confident feeding fodder beet, calculating feeding and area needed etc. 

You will need to have a keen eye for detail, be able to spot when something isn't working properly, understand why it's making a funny noise etc. 

We're after someone who wants to manage a farm, and this is a great step to get there. 

You will need to be:

  • No criminal history.
  • No Dogs, Property isn't suitable. 
  • Coachable, shows initiative, and wants to grow.
  • Communicates openly and honestly
  • Can self-manage and support others as they grow too
  • Enjoys teaching and sharing knowledge
  • Takes pride in their work—on the farm and at home
  • Is drug-free (no exceptions)
  • Has a good sense of humour and enjoys being part of a team
