Jamieson Dairies is looking for a super star to join their Team as a Herd Manager. Jamieson Dairies has 1450 Kiwi Cross dairy cows on a 388ha Farm which are fitted Allflex collars. Milking is through an 80 bail rotary with ACR’s, automatic drafting system, in shed feeding and an auto-teat spray.
As a Herd Manager you will be responsible for maximising production in your assigned herd and assist in the effective management of staff.
The preferred applicant must:
- have a minimum of NZ farming 3 years’ experience
-have experience with management of staff
-have experience with plant management
-have experience with pasture management
Key activities in this role with be milking cows, feed management, general care of stock, farm maintenance, stock records, staff management, health n safety and farm administration.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about farming, someone who is reliable and able to work well within a team environment. On farm accommodation is available which is up to healthy homes standard. A drug test may be requested prior to confirmation of starting this role
