Start date is flexible.
This role works alongside another manager. Together they are responsible for finishing beef cattle as well as ensuring dairy youngstock and carry over cows are in perfect health for the upcoming season.
There is a requirement to relief milk on the dairy unit to cover time off and leave. The perfect candidate will;
There is a fully insulated, four bedroom house with a heat pump and fully fenced section available.
We are located between Te Awamutu and Ōtorohanga with two rural schools nearby that have students from year 0-8. There is a bus nearby for Ōtorohanga College and for Te Awamutu Intermediate and Te Awamutu College.
There is relief milking and calf rearing (we feed late beef calves through until end of January) work available for a partner.
We do a lot of break feeding, so candidates must be physically fit and be willing and able to calculate pasture cover and break sizes and put up and take down fences.
For safety reasons we do not allow children or dogs on farm. The role is varied and requires someone who is willing to assist others across the business.
