Farm Assistant

We are looking for an Honest, Reliable Farm Assistant to join our team. We milk 920cows through two sheds of 44ASHB. farm located in patetonga.Waikato. half an hour to Morrinsville. 10 min to Tahuna. This role includes but not limited to Assisting daily running of the two neighboring farms. Milking: Assist running the milking shed efficiently while maintaining milk quality and shed hygiene. Assist with cleaning and maintaining the milking plant and farm dairy equipment and reports any faults to Contract milker. Animals: Assists with moving and handling animals safely including newly calved cows and young calves. and observes and reports on wellbeing of all stock. Assists with mating management as directed. Feed: Controls weeds. Sets break fences and feeds out as directed Environment: Assists with nutrient, effluent and water management as directed by Contract milker. People: Works well with others, building a strong team culture. Machine, Vehicles and Technology: Safely uses and maintains vehicles on farm as directed by on farm policy. Health, safety and wellbeing: Involved in building a health, safety and wellbeing culture. Models farms health, safety and wellbeing policy. Minimum 30 hours per week.
