I am seeking a hard working Herd Manager for our farm in Timaru. You will be working along side myself as the contract milker and my 2ic. We run 6 on 1 off roster during calving and 5 on 2 off for the rest of the season. You must be honest and reliable. Duties include but are not limited to milking twice a day, shifting irrigation, feeding out, identifying animal heath issues, treating and recording and issues. The farm has good housing and farming facilities, 42 aside herringbone, Allflex collars, auto drafting, pivot irrigation, hard hose guns, klines. The milking platform is 190 ha and the remaining 40 ha is used for wintering. The herd is wintered on farm. A Tidy 1 bedroom unit is available for accommodation.     No criminal record is a must and you may be subject to a pre employment and random drug testing.
