Are you looking for a challenge and an opportunity to progress? We are on the look-out for an experienced, motivated 2IC for our dairy support block in Central Otago. Our support blocks are a pasture-based farming system with a strong focus on animal welfare. Our support block is 659Ha, running 1300 R2’s and 1300 R1 dairy heifer replacements and up to 500 carryovers, with pivot irrigation and wintering on fodder beet. The farm is located 30 mins from Ranfurly and 30 mins from Alexandra. This role is permanent, fulltime, with core roles of pasture allocation and stock management with some tractor work, including some feeding out, fencing and general stock/yard work. Dairy Holdings Ltd operates 20 dairy support blocks in the South Island that winter most of our 57,000 MA Cows and graze our 29,000 youngstock. We are on the look-out for a motivated full time Grazing Block Assistant for our support block, Valley Views in Southland. Our support block is a pasture-based farming system with a strong focus on animal welfare. It is a 300-hectare dairy bull and winter grazing block, situated 15 mins from Mossburn in Northern Southland. The farm grows 110 ha of swedes and fodderbeet for wintering, as well as grazing jersey bulls and making silage.
