Hi there, We are looking for someone to join our team as a dairy farm assistant. We milk 800 three way cross cows. Usually during the season we run 2 mobs.. sometimes it's made up of heifers and cows, this season we ran high scc and then everybody else. We also have a large dry stock operation which is made up of 460 R1's, 460 R2's and about 120 breeding bulls. So sometimes you will be required to help with drenching and shifting them. Typical day to day duties: Milking keeping the milking shed clean Putting up break fences shifting stock fixing water and power problems as needed Tractor experience would be advantageous as we do alot of tractor work. We have 4 staff plus the manager and myself. The roster is 5 on 2 off/6 on 1 off all year round. Accommodation isn't on the farm but a short 5 km drive into town.
