220 cow, once a day milking farm requires experienced dairy farm worker. This farm is 5km from Richmond/Nelson and has no supplied accommodation. This position requires an experiences self starter with a genuine passion for the animals and industry. Must have experience with all aspects of herd management including, calf feeding, feeding out and fencing. Ideally you will have at least two years experience in the industry, a full license, a reliable vehicle, references and be able be able to pass a drug test.

We have a job for a farm assistant who will ideally have 6 months’ goat farm experience. This is for a 1100 goat farm in the Richmond Downs area, 47 minutes from Hamilton. Got strong tractor skills ? That’ll really work in your favor!   You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: - Milking - shifting goats and feeding - fencing, weed control - assisting with births and kid care - shed cleaning and setup, - identifying and alerting managers to sick animals - Setting fences - and other general farm duties - tractor driving   Weekly hours are a minimum of 30 and maximum is 45 per week. The roster is 6 days on 2 days off.   Since farm work is dependent on a number of unknown factors like weather, staff and animals, should you work beyond the maximum hours in a fortnightly pay period, these hours will also be paid at the agreed hourly rate of up to $27.76.   Wage ranges from...
