Motivated herd manager is required for next season to help in the daily running of a 250ha Dairy farm located 15km inland from Oamaru. Milking 700 cows in a 60 bale Rotary shed. The right applicant will be part of a 3-person team. We are targeting an enthusiastic person who is hard working, can work well in a team, not afraid to share ideas and can think fast in every situation. Responsibilities include Milking, heat detection, Identifying and treating lameness and mastitis, dairy shed hygiene and basic maintenance, General tractor work, pasture management and Feed allocation, animal health, checking/monitoring cows, assisting calving’s, irrigation shifting, weed control and general farm duties.
