We require an experienced, driven herd manager for our dairy farming business, milking 1300 cows at Castlerock in Northern Southland. You will be required to assist with the day to day running of the farm while working within a hard working team, while adhering to our farm plans. You must be passionate about the industry and capable of managing your time efficiently, be a strong team player and be trustworthy, honest and reliable. You must have knowledge and be able to put into practice - pasture management, animal care/welfare, environmental and effluent regulations, and actively model our H & S and well being policy in the workplace. You must be eligible to work in NZ, have a full drivers license and be able to pass a drug test. Roster will be 6 on 2 off over calving and 8 on 2 off/8 on 3 off during the quieter months. We encourage ITO learning and training.
